HALL COUNTY - [watch] There's no denying that North Hall has been one of the top-tier teams in Northeast Georgia over the last few years. At least one playoff win in each of the last four seasons and a state semi-final appearance in 2007 has gotten the program state-wide attention.
But Trojan coach Bob Christmas says the best may be yet to come and when you look at their 2010 roster it's easy to see why.
You first have to take a look at who the team has coming back. Bruising running back and linebacker Mack VanGorder is back and so is quarterback Kanler Coker who split time under center as a sophomore last season.
Then you have to look at the team's new additions. Running back Imani Cross transferred from Flowery Branch where he has had a pair of breakout seasons. The Trojans also add wide receiver C.J. Curry. Curry comes to North Hall with his father who is the new defensive coordinator. Curry has already gotten a scholarship offer from Georgia and he may cause North Hall's run happy offense to air it out a little more this season.
The loaded roster will help Christmas get over the talented senior class from 2009 that is now gone and the brutal schedule this year. The Trojans start the season with Jefferson, St. Pius and Gainesville. A trio of teams that all went undefeated in the regular season a year ago.
